For Zuihoden is an outdoor exhibit and is exposed to the surrounding natural environment, we pay close attention to the temperature, humidity, ultraviolet and biodeterioration. We also take heed of materials and conditions of documents and artifacts exhibited inside the museum regardless of how well-maintained the indoor environment may be. Documents and artifacts that must be preserved are carefully stored in the repository.
At Zuihoden History Museum, we conduct a meteorological research throughout the year as well as quality maintenance of the building and ornaments, prevention of insect/mold damages, and a thorough research of repair materials in order to properly maintain and preserve Zuihoden as it is an outdoor exhibit. We also conduct quality control of Zuihoden and planning of the next large-scale renovation.
Approximately 1,600,000 tourists visit Zuihoden annually.
